Privacy Policy
This site is run by Philip Clark, a web designer and developer in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. This policy explains what information I collect through philipclark.dev, why, and what you can do about it.
What I collect
Contact, Start Building and Full-Service forms. Your name, email, phone number (optional), business name, current website, what you need, your timeline, which plan interests you, and anything you write in the message.
Free DIY guide and free website review. Your name, email, business name and (for the review) your current website.
Booking calendar. When you book a call, I receive your name, phone number and the time you picked.
Automatically collected data. My hosting provider, Hostinger, records basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited. I also use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to show me how visitors use the site: pages viewed, device and browser, approximate location (city or region), how you found the site, and actions such as submitting a form, booking a call, or clicking a phone or email link. The site also stores a small setting in your browser so the free review pop-up doesn’t keep reappearing.
I don’t need sensitive information, so please don’t include it in any form.
How I use it
- To reply to your message, prepare a quote, and talk about your project.
- To send the free guide or free website review you asked for.
- To schedule calls and call you at the time you booked.
- To understand which pages and offers are useful so I can improve the site.
Email list
If you request the free DIY guide or the free website review, I add your email to my mailing list (managed with Hostinger Reach). I use it to deliver what you asked for and to send occasional website tips and offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email me to be removed.
Messages sent through the Contact, Start Building or Full-Service forms, and calls booked through the calendar, are not added to the mailing list.
Who can see it
I never sell or rent your information. It is processed by the services that make this site work:
- Hostinger for website hosting, form storage and the mailing list.
- Google for Google Analytics.
- My email provider, for messages and notifications.
I may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
- Form messages and bookings: up to 12 months after our last contact, unless we work together, in which case our agreement applies.
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you.
- Google Analytics data: according to Google Analytics retention settings (up to 14 months).
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails any time using the link in any email.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
- Email me at hello@philipclark.dev to see, correct or delete your information. I’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, I’ll post the new version here with an updated date.
